The Copilot Adoption feature in Hivel provides visibility into GitHub Copilot usage and effectiveness across your organization.
Overview
The adoption dashboard displays key adoption metrics:
Adopters: Users actively using Copilot
Non-Adopters: Users with no Copilot usage
Top Language: Programming language with highest suggestion volume
Top Model: Most frequently used Copilot model
Top Feature: Most utilized Copilot capability
This high-level view helps you quickly assess adoption velocity and identify where to focus enablement efforts.
Suggestion Acceptance
This section measures how developers respond to Copilot suggestions:
Accepted: Number of suggestions developers approved
Rejected: Number of suggestions developers declined
Acceptance Rate: Percentage of suggestions accepted
Understanding acceptance patterns helps you gauge whether Copilot is delivering relevant, high-quality suggestions to your team.
Suggestions by Language
View how suggestion acceptance varies across programming languages. The graph displays:
Accepted Suggestions (bar chart): Volume of accepted suggestions per language
Rejected Suggestions (bar chart): Volume of rejected suggestions per language
Acceptance Rate (line graph): Percentage acceptance rate per language
Filter to focus on specific languages or view all top languages by default. You can toggle between viewing suggestions as raw counts or lines of code.
Acceptance by Team
Compare suggestion acceptance rates across teams:
Accepted Suggestions (bar chart): Volume of accepted suggestions per team
Rejected Suggestions (bar chart): Volume of rejected suggestions per team
Acceptance Rate (line graph): Percentage acceptance rate per team
This view helps identify which teams are most engaged with Copilot and where additional support or training may be beneficial.
