# Efficiency (E) — ROI per dollar and per developer

The Efficiency pillar benchmarks teams against your org average to identify which are getting the most value from AI spend. Plot teams on a quadrant—high output at low cost (Best Value), high output at high cost (Efficient), low spend and low output (Disengaged), or high spend and low output (Wasteful). Bubble size represents team headcount, so you can factor scale into your assessment. Compare the most productive repositories to understand what code patterns benefit most from AI. This pillar helps allocate resources and celebrate wins.

**Key metrics:**

* Team Output Relative to Spend — quadrant chart showing each team's ROI position
* Top 5 Repos by AI Contribution — measured by lines of code, tokens, or cost spent
* AI Users vs. Non-AI Users — comparative productivity to show whether adoption drives measurable gains

Click any pillar button at the top of the dashboard to focus on that dimension. Select multiple pillars to see the combined view.
