Why do I see "NA" in the percentage change of a metric?

The "NA" is displayed when there is no data or values for the previous period of a given metric.

  • Why some metrics have data while others do not:

    • It’s possible for certain metrics to show values while others don’t, depending on activity during the period.

      • For example:

        • Cycle Time might display as 6d because tickets moved through the workflow.

        • MTTR (Mean Time to Recovery) could show 0, as no hotfixes were pushed to release branches during that time.

  • Rationale for Showing "NA":

    • Instead of inaccurately reflecting a percentage change (e.g., showing an increase of +100%), "NA" provides a clearer indicator that the metric lacked data for the previous period.

    • This approach gives users a more accurate understanding of their metrics and avoids misleading interpretations.
