# Jira Server Integration

### Before starting integration, make sure to whitelist the following IP addresses:

* **Recommended, but Optional IPs**:
  * 45.119.114.218
  * 183.82.116.218
* **Mandatory IPs**:
  * 107.23.139.76
  * 3.219.89.23

### To start the integration, follow the below steps:

#### Creating the Token <a href="#creating-the-token" id="creating-the-token"></a>

**Step 1: Navigate to**[ **https://id.atlassian.com/manage-profile/security/api-tokens**](https://id.atlassian.com/manage-profile/security/api-tokens)

There are two methods to choose from:

**Method 1: Create API Token (Preferred)**

1. Click **Create API token**.
2. Enter a name for the token (e.g., "Hivel") and set the longest expiry date your organization's policy allows.
3. Click **Create**, then copy the token immediately -you won't be able to view it again.

**Method 2: Create API Token with Scopes**

1. Click Create **API token with scopes**.
2. Enter a name for the token (e.g., 'Hivel') and set the longest expiry date your organization's policy allows.

1. Click **Next**.
2. Scroll down, **select Jira, and click Next**.

3. Copy the whole block and paste it in the ‘search by scope’ field (see list below) and Set the Results per page to **100**. Select all the scopes.

**Scopes:**

1. Select all 19 scopes.
2. Ensure all the 19 scopes are selected and click **Create token**, then copy it immediately - you won't be able to view it again.

#### Connect in Hivel <a href="#connect-in-hivel" id="connect-in-hivel"></a>

1. **Copy the generated token** immediately, as you won't be able to view it again.
2. Submit the token to Hivel.

Hivel validates the token instantly -if the token is wrong, expired, or revoked, Hivel shows a clear message telling you exactly what the problem is. Generate a new token with the correct permissions and reconnect.

Done! Data will be refreshed within 24 hours.
