# Hivel-managed

### How to Integrate SonarQube with Hivel

Integrating SonarQube with Hivel enhances the quality and security of your codebase by enabling continuous code inspection and quality monitoring. SonarQube helps detect bugs, vulnerabilities, and code smells, ensuring that your software projects maintain high standards of code quality.

#### Step 1: Generate an Access Token in SonarQube

**Application: SonarQube**

1. Log in to your SonarQube account
2. Click the name icon in the top right corner
3. Select "My Account" from the dropdown menu

4. Navigate to the "Access Tokens" tab

5. Go to Personal Tokens
6. Enter a token name (preferably "Hivel") and set an expiration date
7. Click "Generate Token"
8. Copy and save the generated token securely

**Also in SonarQube:**

9. Copy the base URL from your address bar Example: If your browser shows `https://sonarcloud.io/project/overview?id=your-project`, copy only `https://sonarcloud.io`

#### Step 2: Connect SonarQube to Hivel

**Application: Hivel Platform**

1. Log in to Hivel
2. Go to Settings
3. Select Integrations

4. Find the SonarQube card in the CI/CD section

5. Click "Connect"
6. Fill in the required details:

   * **Instance Type:** Select SonarQube Cloud
   * **SonarQube URL:** Paste the base URL from Step 1.9
   * **Access Token:** Paste the token from Step 1.8

7. Select the checkbox and click "Integrate SonarQube"
