Access your SonarQube instance and log in with the account that has the necessary permissions.
Once logged in, locate your name icon at the top right corner of the screen.
Click on it to open a dropdown menu.
From the dropdown, select "My Account".
In the My Account page, find and click on the "Security" tab.
In the Security section, locate the token generation area.
Enter a name for your token. It's recommended to use a name like "Hivel" to easily identify it later.
Click on the "Generate" button to create the token.
After generation, a token will be displayed. Copy the token immediately and save it in a secure location.
Important: This is the only time the token will be displayed, so ensure you store it safely.
Ensure you copy the SonarQube instance URL as well. This is needed for further configuration with Hivel.
That’s it! You’ve successfully generated an access token in SonarQube. Use the token to complete the next steps as shown on the Integration screen in Hivel.
