On-Prem Deployment Guide (Azure)

Prerequisites

Before starting this deployment, you must have the following in place:

Cloud & Access Requirements

• Azure Subscription with Contributor role (or equivalent permissions)

• AWS credentials: Access Key ID and Secret Access Key for ECR access

• Hivel S3 Download Access: S3 bucket path or pre-signed URL for the hivel-onprem package

Infrastructure Requirements

• One Virtual Machine provisioned on Azure (see sizing details in previous page)

• Azure Database for PostgreSQL (Flexible Server) (you'll provision this in Database Setup, coming up in this guide)

Software & Tools

• Azure CLI installed and configured

• AWS CLI installed and configured

• Docker and Docker Compose installed

Hivel-Specific Files

• license_signed.json

• hivel_onprem_public.pem

Important Note on Cloud Setup This deployment uses Azure infrastructure (VM and database), but Hivel distributes Docker images and the installer package through AWS (ECR and S3). You will need both Azure CLI and AWS CLI installed, along with credentials for both platforms, to complete this deployment.

Before You Proceed

If you don't have your license files or AWS credentials, contact your Hivel representative now. The deployment cannot proceed without these items.
