# How to create sub-teams?

The best way to view data in Hivel is by team. If you have a sub-team structure at your company, Hivel's got you covered too.

#### Here is how to create sub-teams in Hivel:

1\. Go to **Settings →Teams**

2\. If you don't have any teams created yet, [<mark style="color:purple;">create a team</mark>](/set-up/teams/how-to-create-teams.md)

3\. Select the team within which you want to create a sub-team&#x20;

4\. Navigate to Subteam menu using the toggle.

5\. Select 'Create Subteam' and in the dialog box enter team name select a **team owner**, followed by adding other users.

6\. Click **Create Subteam.**

7\. You can view your sub-teams within the main team succesfully.

> If the changes are not reflected immediately, refresh the the screen to reflect the changes.
