# Users

This is where you manage the people in your Hivel workspace: bringing them in, keeping their records accurate, and removing them when they leave.

1. **Invite users.** Bring a new person into Hivel. If they already have a Git account, invite them from Settings, Access Management, User Management, and assign their role and teams. If they don't have a Git account, they can sign up directly at app.hivel.ai/signup.

2. **Add or update an email.** Add an email to a user who doesn't have one yet. Existing emails can't be edited directly; contact <support@hivel.ai> for that.

3. **Merge users.** Combine duplicate user records, which can happen when someone commits with more than one email or token, into a single primary user. This action can't be undone.

4. **Update a user's name.** Correct or change how a user's name appears.

5. **Archive users.** Remove someone from active metrics once they've left the organization or their data is no longer relevant. Archiving keeps reporting accurate; contact <support@hivel.ai> to reverse it.
