Hygiene
The Hygiene tab in the Investment screen helps you identify and track Jira tickets that are missing important fields. Clean and complete ticket data is essential for accurate planning, reporting, and cost tracking. This tab gives you visibility into tickets with missing details so you can address data gaps before they impact your team's metrics and insights.

What's New
The Hygiene tab shows a summary of work items that don't meet your team's data standards. You can quickly see:
Total count of unhygienic work items across the selected project and sprint
Breakdown by missing field categories:
No Assignee: Ticket is unassigned
No Story Points: No effort estimate provided
No Epic Link: Ticket is not linked to an epic
No Allocation: Allocation label or custom field is missing or empty
No Product: Product label or custom field is missing or empty
Clicking on any category displays the full list of affected work items, allowing you to take immediate action to fix missing data.
Why It Matters
Missing or incomplete Jira fields can create downstream issues:
Planning Impact: Unassigned tickets or missing story points make capacity planning and sprint forecasting unreliable.
Reporting Gaps: Incomplete epic links or product mappings skew your investment and allocation insights.
Cost Tracking: Missing allocation or product fields prevent accurate cost attribution and resource tracking.
By proactively identifying and resolving these gaps, you ensure that your planning, reporting, and analytical decisions are based on complete, accurate data.
How to Use the Hygiene Tab
Navigate to the Investment screen and select the Hygiene tab.
Review the summary cards showing the count of unhygienic work items by category.
Click on any category (e.g., "No Assignee") to drill down and see the specific work items missing that field.
Filter by Project, Sprint, and Board using the controls at the top of the screen to focus on specific areas.
Address the gaps by:
Assigning unassigned tickets to team members
Adding story points to estimate effort
Linking tickets to their appropriate epics
Mapping tickets to products and allocations

The Hygiene tab is available for all organizations using supported project management tools:
Best Practices
Review regularly: Check the Hygiene tab at the start of each sprint to catch and resolve data gaps early.
Prioritize: Focus on completing assignees and epic links first, as these directly impact planning accuracy.
Automate where possible: Use your project management tool's automation rules or workflows to pre-populate fields where feasible.
Document standards: Establish clear team guidelines on which fields must be completed before a ticket can move into a sprint.
