⚽Goals
🎯 Using Goals in Hivel
The Goals feature in Hivel helps you set clear targets, track progress, and assess performance at both the organization and team levels. Whether you're aligning teams around strategic objectives or tracking key performance metrics, Goals provides the visibility and accountability to stay on track.

📍 Where to Find Goals
You can access Goals Pro from the main navigation:
Overview → Goals (pro)
🏢 Creating an Organization-Level Goal

Navigate to the Goals (pro) page.
Click Set Goals.
Select a frequency:
Monthly
Quarterly
Select the metrics you want to track by clicking on them.
Enter your target value for each metric.
The initial value will also be available for reference - the initial value of a metric is calculated by taking into account the time period of last completed quarter or last completed month, based on the frequency selected.
If industry benchmark data is available, it will appear here for comparison.
Click Save & Continue.
👥 Creating a Team-Level Goal
Follow the same steps as above, with one addition:
Select the team the goal applies to.
📊 Viewing Progress

The Goals dashboard displays real-time progress for each metric:
Metric Name
Initial Value (at the start of the goal)
Current Value
Target Value
Goal Progress - this is the % difference between the current value and target value
✏️ Modifying Goals

You can update ongoing goals:
Open the goal's dashboard.
Click Modify Goal.
Update existing metric values or add new metrics.
⚠️ Note: You cannot change the goal’s duration.
🗑️ Deleting Goals

Only ongoing goals can be deleted:
Open the goal dashboard.
Click Delete Goal.
Confirm deletion when prompted: “The goal set will be completely deleted and cannot be retrieved. Are you sure you want to proceed?”
⚠️ Warning: This action is permanent and will remove all associated metrics.
⏳ View History of the past goals and performance

Through this, you will be able to see what were the previous months/quarters goals and how much progress was made towards those goals.

To download the goals and their progress into an excel, you can do that through the Download Reports section under Settings.
