August 2025 - Release Notes

"And so it was foretold, that in the ninth month, features of immense power would arrive. But let us not forget the eighth - August - whose quiet strength laid the groundwork for what’s to come."

Herein lies the tale of August’s contributions...

Commit Frequency Metric

Say hello to Commit Frequency – our newest Git metric that calculates the average number of commits per developer per day. It gives a sharper lens into engineering rhythm and behavior, derived from our core Commits metric. You’ll find it across All Git Metrics, Throughput Board templates, and Dev360 views.

Heads up: Graph values will typically hover around 0 or 1 – it’s all about daily averages per developer.

Persistent Filters in Investment Screen

Boards, Sub-boards, and Sprints selections now persist across all 5 tabs of the Investment screen. No more reapplying filters on every visit - they stay put until you refresh or log out.

👀 Coming soon: Saved Filters to make your views even smarter.

Enhanced Release Cycle Filters

We’ve revamped how Release Cycles behave across the platform:

  • Default cycles always appear first.

  • Others are sorted by their proximity to today.

  • Future-only cycles are now hidden (unless you're configuring).

  • If a cycle spans past/future dates, data shows only up to today.

  • In Cockpit Dashboards, your saved filters always take precedence.

Smarter Default Landing Pages

Admins and Execs can now set default landing pages for their teams via Configuration. This update respects user preferences while giving org-wide control. The priority works like this:

  1. User session setting (existing behavior)

  2. Admin-configured landing page

  3. Default fallback → Dashboards (All Boards)

Downloadable Cockpit Graphs

You can now download graphs in .png format from the Cockpit screen, per metric - perfect for sharing insights outside the platform.

👤 Unmerge User via UI

The new Unmerge feature on the UI lets you isolate a user from their merged chain. You can select one or multiple merged users in the Teams page, and once the users are unmerged, all the accounts chained together will be separated.

🧪 SCM Workspaces Filter

On the Repositories page, filter by SCM Workspaces to better navigate and segment your repositories based on Git workspace configurations.

📊 Investment Bar Chart Improvements

Expanded view for bar chart breakdowns across all the Investment tabs - making comparisons and analysis more intuitive.

User Profile Enhancements

The User Profile now lets users save favorite filters for Teams (Git) and Projects (PM tools) - and they persist across sessions! You can still change the filters during sessions, but unless updated in Profile Preferences, your favorites will remain the default when you log in.

Accessible via the bottom-left menu or directly via URL.

Public Dashboards as Landing Pages

Admins can now set Public Dashboards and templates as default landing pages for any access role. More visibility, more flexibility.

"And thus concludes the chapter of August. Now rise from your chair, brave builder - stretch your limbs, greet your companion beast (be it dog, cat, or capybara 🐾🦫), and feast upon your chosen snack 🍿. You’ve earned your rest."

But ready thyself… for September brings magic of a higher order. See you then. ✨
